Welcome Dr Sarah Goulding and farewell Victoria Buckley

 

The KTN Welcomes Dr Sarah Goulding to the team




The HealthTech and Medicines KTN is delighted to announce that Dr Sarah Goulding will join its team in January as Technology Manager, based in the Edinburgh office. In her new role within the KTN, Sarah will assist in the delivery of the core bioProcessUK agenda including building networks through the Special Interest Groups and the Emerging Professionals Network and areas such as Regenerative & Stratified Medicine HealthTech which will have increased priority in the KTN.

 

Sarah joined the BioIndustry Association Scotland office in 2005 initially focussing on industry and member engagement, public affairs and policy activity in Scotland. She has since held UK-wide roles within the organisation, assisting in the area of science and clinical development, and in particular, leading on regenerative medicine activity with the BIA RegenMed Industry Group (RIG), culminating in the post of Acting Director for BIA Scotland. Sarah has postdoctoral experience in cell biology, a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Edinburgh, a MSc and an undergraduate degree in Genetics from Trinity College Dublin.

Farewell to Victoria Buckley, Marketing Manager, bioProcessUK


After over two and half years with bioProcessUK, Victoria Buckley and her husband have decided to move home to Australia to be closer to family and friends as they expect their first child in May 2010. Victoria’s last day in the KTN office is Friday 8 January 2010.

 

“Victoria has been an invaluable member of the bioProcessUK team and her highly professional manner has contributed significantly to the KTN’s success, most recently with the Annual bioProcessUK Conference in November. She has also been involved in the marketing and event planning of the bioProcessUK Special Interest Groups, Bioprocessing Research Industry Club (BRIC) Dissemination meetings and the production of external communications including the Annual Review and newsletters. It has been a pleasure working with Victoria and we wish her the best of luck in Australia!” commented Mark Bustard, Head of bioProcessUK “We are currently implementing a solution to ensure continued delivery of our planned events for the New Year.”

 

Victoria commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with KTN, it has been fantastic to get to know many of the members of the network and to be part of a great team."
